Giving is Faith in Action - 2025 Catholic Services Appeal
Those who have contributed to the Appeal in the past should receive a mailing from CSA. Please prayerfully consider making a pledge. Please send in your pledge using the preaddressed envelope and payment voucher provided with the mailing or bring your completed pledge to Mass and drop it in the collection basket. Thank you for your generosity!
For those who have not received a CSAF mailing we can provide you with an informational flyer and envelope or you can pick one up in the church entrances. When using the envelopes provided by the church be sure to use an envelope marked for St. Mary or St. Henry according to which parish goal you want your contribution to go toward. You can also give directly at love.archspm.org.
Christ’s love radiates through us simply by the love we show, the hope we provide, and the gifts we give. When you donate to the Catholic Services Appeal, you support numerous ministries that serve our brothers and sisters in Christ in the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis.
Your generosity of spirit, prayer, and gift will bear fruit by:
· igniting the light of faith in our parishes and schools enabling students to grow in their relationship with the Lord

Anointing of the Sick – The sacrament of Anointing of the Sick is not only for the dying, it is for anyone as soon as they begin to be in danger due to illness (even if recovery is likely). If you or a loved one have fallen ill in any serious manner, do not delay in requesting the sacrament of Anointing of the Sick. Call the parish office to set an appointment for anointing.
Last Rites/Emergencies – As priests, we will never deny the Last Rites to anyone out of concern for our own health. Please know, however, that health officials could easily turn away clergy from visiting certain patients in quarantine. For this reason, if you or a loved one falls ill in any serious manner, contact us right away. In an emergency, call Fr. Margevicius or Fr. Barsness; otherwise, call parish office staff (see phone numbers below).
Baptisms – Baptisms are being celebrated. Please contact Fr. Barsness via email or phone to schedule your child’s baptism. Parents are asked to attend a class on the sacrament of baptism (virtually if necessary). Due to the great importance of this sacrament we encourage you not to delay in requesting this sacrament. It is desirable that parents make contact with us even before the birth of the child.
Communion Visits – Home Communion Calls take place on Tuesday mornings by a Extraordinary Minister except for the Tuesday followed by the First Friday of the month. A priest will be doing Communion calls on those weeks on the First Friday.
If you are homebound and would like to receive Holy Communion on a weekly basis, please contact the parish office.
Scams – There are many scams being reported. Remember that neither Fr. Margevicius, Fr. Barsness, nor any staff will ask for money or gift cards by text or by email.

Spiritual Communion Prayer
My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the most holy Eucharist. I love you above all things, and I desire to receive you into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive you sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace you as if you were already there and unite myself wholly to you. Never permit me to be separated from you. Amen.
